Taz Balance: Reminder

Griffin was going to give them an ending that was bad, a sad end for characters too crazy and fucked up to get a good end. Or a joke ending, for characters that were never going to change too much and stay as their 2 Dimensional jokes.

But Travis, Justin, and Clint fought everything that Griffin threw at them. Whether they knew it or not they were fighting for THEIR ending. From the first arc, a joke ending was thrown out the window. In a single arc, they felt themselves growing attached to Taako, Merle, and Magnus. Those names in and of themselves became how they addressed each other(even when Griffin was explaining their movements those names were used).

It only grew and grew with Travis, Merle, and Clint fighting for their end. And they got it. Taako going after Magnus as he was being pulled into the plane and Merle bringing them back. It opened up ALL of their eyes. This was a story of hope. A story of strength in the dark. And Griffin couldn’t let that die.

And you can see it so clearly through Merle, a dwarf that became friends with the man who was once his enemy.

“And no matter how bad things are, no matter how crummy, how dark…I choose joy.”
