Ned Chicane is 100% an amazing fucking character and Clint is doing amazing the vulnerability of Ned caught me so off guard???? Like this is a man suddenly and recently confronted with the actions of his past letting down his facade of confidence to just TRY to be honest with Sheriff Zeke and its not all truth but its not a lie and he gets laughed at. He can’t be truthful with Aubrey and Duck because he said it himself, he cares about them, they ARE different, and he’s just Ned, trying his best to not get hurt. Hes not a good man and he knows it and for once in his life hes scared of what hes done and what hes gotten into
