It apparently happened with two of the kids in IT as well. The worst part about the IT/Stranger Things stuff is that the actors are literal children.

Something similar happened to d&p. Some video leaked on youtube and shippers went crazy about it and the whole thing was so bad their friendship almost broke

Anyone remember when Ian and Anthony from Smosh were shipped together? Remember how VISIBLY uncomfortable they got everytime they came across creepy ship art or fanfictions about them? Remember when Anthony Padilla himself LITERALLY stated: “I hate that Ianthony has become some sick fetish thing,”

If real people wanna be shipped together, go ahead but that doesn’t make it okay for anyone else who’s visibly disturbed by it

Don’t forget that it goes so far to whenever a celebrity or public figure gets into a new relationship, some are fractured or entirely torn because insane shippers that are so out of touch with society start sending hateful messages, death threats and some have gone so far to become so seriously dangerous to the partner’s well being, all because they’re “interfering with their beloved ship”.

There is no “harmless fun” when you ship real people. Idk how much more can we spell it out for you, guys.
