centaur girlfriend headcanons:

– While male Centaurs are the center of unfortunate rumors of being the “unruly, drunkard” sorts who gallivant around kidnapping folks & whatnot, female Centaurs are extremely more noble & prideful. The very mention of such rumors around them with end with an angry kick right to the stomach.

– They, like most Centaurs, prefer to go au natural. But one of the pros of the species is that they all have “chest coverings” in the forms of thick, furry tufts that bloom from the space above where their belly bottom would be, to form a sort of v-shaped “mane” that bushes under their chin. It both helps them keep their pride & doubles as extra warmth during the chillier seasons. Making jokes about their “lack of boobs” will just end up like above. Don’t comment on their appearances in a negative manner, to put it lightly.

– Centaurs, female Centaurs especially, love being knights & working side-by-side with knights & adventurers. Granted there are untamed Centaurs who prefer the free lifestyle, but many Centaurs you meet on a day-to-day basis are covered from head-to-hoof in royal armor, complete with the crest. These tend to be the most prideful of the bunch, & they’re not afraid to let their “opinions” of their more free-spirited cousins be known.

– They love being decorated, which is why most (read: not all) female Centaurs allow their hair to grow so long. Bows, ribbons, flower crowns, golden chains, no matter what you offer them, if it’s a cranial decoration that shows off their luxurious locks, they’ll accept it.

– Okay so maybe the “snatching up” people thing isn’t entirely untrue. Because if a centaur, lady or not, has a little too much to drink, it’s very possible you’ll find your self thrown over your girlfriend’s back, hanging on for dear life as she gallops drunkenly around the nearest field, joking about how she’s going to kidnap you away to keep you all to herself. Not that she ever really would, but it’s worth the mortification you see on her face in the morning after she realizes how unruly she acted.
