This is kind of a last resort thing and I’ve been holding off making a post like this again because I thought me and my sister could handle our situation on our own, but things just kept getting worse and worse and now I don’t think things are going to be okay if we don’t get help.
So let me explain: About a year ago my sister got kicked out of my abusive dad’s house and my dad then started to try to starve my little brother and I and 100% became downright abusive.
My sister ended up staying in the back studio of a mentor’s house and did her best to help take care of my brother even though she couldn’t physically come back to dad’s due to the possibility of our dad getting physical.
We did our best to stick together. even when it finally came to the point of calling social workers on my dad for all the abuse. My brother and I ended up leaving our dad’s sometime in February of this year.My brother had been placed in a group home for the time being while I ended up staying with my sister at the mentor’s place.
From then on our goals were three things:
1. Find a job and save up even more than we already did so that we could move.
2. Move to a place that would have enough room for our brother so that all 3 of us could stick together.
3. Recover as much as possible from abuse and mental fuckery that made it hard to function as a human being.
Fast forwarding to now, and none of these are really completed. We barely have enough money due to the agreement our mentor/landlord had us do for rent even though originally he just agreed to having us stay to save that money for a place. And now he wants us gone.

We’ve been attempting to get a place for months now and even looked for shelters as a final resort but the only one that had space was one that required everyone to have some sort of income/job coming in and they couldn’t have jobs/things to do at night. Which is exactly what we have.
I have financial aid from school (which a lot has gone to paying for moving my stuff to storage now and the next flow of it comes in November) and my sister did land a job. I’m still looking and applying as all the interviews I did have declined me.
So we have a tiny bit of income but not enough to keep us afloat all the way til November with the way how things are going.
We’re going to have to check into a motel of some sort and my plan is to somehow raise at least $1500 dollars to
Try to keep from going totally homeless (because honestly it’s super hard to recover from in my area. There’s a LOT of homeless here and the number is only growing)
Get a studio. We got someone lucky and talked to a property manager who was willing to get us a 2 bedroom with no problems if we would pay triple the amount of the price (about 4.5k) and all together we only have about half of that. They have another place (the studio) available that we’re SO CLOSE to having enough for. So we plan on talking to them about that.
I have a Ko-fi page, and every $6 dollars you donate gets you a doodle request, $15 or higher gets you a cute chibi and any donation $30 or higher is either a flat drawing or a lineless drawing. (Please contact me before hand if you plan to do this so I can organize things) You can also just donate if you only want to give.
And I got a Patreon. This would be probably the most helpful because reoccurring income means more stability! On top of that I’d be also realizing a dream of becoming an independent artist who’d be able to have the time to improve and work on all sorts of cool things. Yes. I made a gofundme because honestly this is urgent. If you just want to donate and then run off than this is the place to go. The goal is $1500 just for me and my sister to get by.
